Here at the Asbestos and Dust Diseases Research Institute (ADDRI) we are acknowledging and supporting people and families with Mesothelioma and dust diseases with our 5th annual Meso March on May 25 at Edwards Park, Concord.
The Meso March is an important event that connects the ADDRI team with people directly affected by Mesothelioma (Meso) and dust diseases and offers a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges and impacts of these illnesses. The walk will start at Edwards Park, Concord then circles around to Queen Elizabeth Park, Concord and finally back to Edwards Park.
Currently, there is no cure for Mesothelioma. Certain treatments may extend life expectancy and help achieve long-term remission, however due to the aggressive nature of the cancer (and often the late diagnosis) the Mesothelioma survival rates are very low. Australia has one of the highest incidences of Mesothelioma in the world with over 700 Australians being diagnosed each year. So please join us as we walk, talk and gather to support people and families living with mesothelioma.

There is no fee to participate in the Meso March, but we would love if you could support us with a small donation to help further our research into earlier and less invasive diagnosis, better treatment options and ultimately, to finding a cure.
Donations of $2 or more are gratefully received and fully tax-deductible.
Read about the people affected by mesothelioma here as they share their experiences and what life is like living with an incurable disease.
