The Asbestos and Dust Diseases Research Institute (ADDRI), in partnership with Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA and Concord Repatriation General Hospital, launched a new multidisciplinary team webinar to support doctors, respiratory specialists and other health professional team members in the Asia-Pacific region. The first webinar took place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, please see the recording below.

This free virtual forum provides structured case reviews and expert input for doctors treating patients with suspected or confirmed occupational and environmental lung diseases—such as silicosis, asbestosis, chronic-obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), autoimmune lung conditions, and other non-malignant dust-related diseases.

Diagnosing occupational lung disease requires integrating exposure histories, imaging and specialist testing—often without access to occupational health expertise. For clinicians outside of metro areas, these challenges are even more pronounced.

These webinars are open for anyone to attend – you do not need to have attended any of the face-to-face training programmes delivered previously.

The training is aimed at health care professionals involved in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of cancers and other diseases, targeting Radiologists, Pathologists and Oncologists specifically.

By sharing knowledge and improving access to expert advice, the multi-disciplinary team aims to build confidence and consistency in clinical decision-making.
