Topic: Melanoma and immune checkpoint inhibitors: what have we learned?

Professor Helen Rizos is a cancer cell biologist and her work combines genetic analyses of melanoma tumours with functional cell biology in order to understand the role and regulation cellular pathways that influence the development and therapeutic response and resistance in melanoma. Her research group at Macquarie University is also interested in the clinical utility of liquid biopsies and is focused on the prognostic and predictive value of circulating tumour DNA in melanoma.
